What is Rekindled?

As we grow in this thing called Christianity, sometimes it seems as though our relationship with the Lord somewhat–dwindles, or isn’t as fervant as times before. We go through seasons of ups and downs, passionate about Jesus–and not so passionate about Jesus.

This story, like experiences with many other Christians, has been played out in most of my life. But does it have to be like this? Do we have to seem like we are close to Jesus some days and not so close others? I know that we go through different “seasons” in our life that the Lord brings us through….but I believe that there can still be that aweness of God, stunned by the reality that this God/Guy named Jesus actually offered himself as a ransom for our sins and offered his grace to a dirty rotten sinner like me.

So Rekindled to me is the blooming again of that initial encounter that I had with God when I first realized his grace and accepted it. This Rekindling flame is birthed through relationship…time spent with Jesus…the Baptism of the Holy Spirit…solitude…quietness…and life experience.

God…rekindle the flame that you initially put in me and make it burn brighter for others to see. Do this for your other followers as well.
